1. Overview
This policy describes how EganAI, LLC (“we”) handles information in connection with the BreadCode desktop application and this website. The short version: BreadCode runs locally on your Mac, and we aim to collect as little as possible.
2. Your code stays local
BreadCode runs on your Mac. Your projects, run history, and settings are stored locally on your own machine. We do not upload your repositories, diffs, prompts, file names, paths, or transcripts to our servers.
BreadCode is an orchestrator, not a proxy. When it runs a coding agent (for example Claude Code, the Codex CLI, or the Gemini CLI), your code, prompts, files, and the agent’s outputs are transmitted directly from the agent running on your device to the provider you configured, using your own account. They do not pass through, and are not stored on, EganAI, LLC or BreadCode servers. That data relationship is between you and the provider and is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy. We do not use your code or prompts to train any model.
3. What we do process
- Purchases: checkout is handled by Stripe, our payments provider and merchant of record, which processes your name, email, and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive order and license records (not card numbers).
- License validation: activating or validating a license key sends the key, an anonymous machine identifier, and basic app/OS version information to the licensing service.
- Support: if you email us, we keep the correspondence.
- Telemetry: none. The app includes no crash reporting, usage analytics, or tracking of any kind. Run history, costs, and settings are stored locally on your machine.
4. Website
This site is a static page. It sets no cookies and includes no third-party analytics or trackers.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers named above (Stripe for payments, Keygen for license validation) as needed to operate licensing and payments, or where required by law.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep order and license records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. To request deletion of your data, contact [email protected]. Order and payment records are retained for the periods required by tax and accounting law; license records are deleted or anonymized after your subscription ends and any refund window has closed.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact [email protected] to exercise them.
8. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
